Social Media Privacy Policy
1.1 If we wish to share your content (defined as photos, videos or text), you will receive a comment or direct message from our account asking for permission. To show you agree to our Terms, Conditions and Privacy Policy, please reply #YesOutdoorLiving.
We will display your social media account name alongside your post, and you will remain the legal owner of any media you upload. However, in order for us to publish your content, you must grant Buy It Direct a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, assignable, sub-licensable licence. We may use your media on any of Buy It Direct’s webpages, social media pages, advertising, marketing or promotional materials without compensation or prior notice, using any media or distribution methods we see fit.
We may use, edit, alter, reproduce, translate, publish or create derivative works at our sole discretion.
By accepting, you also grant Buy It Direct the right to use your username, real name, image, likeness, caption or any other identifying information in connection with your account.
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you consent to Buy It Direct’s collection and processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
1.2 We will not publish photos that contain: private and confidential information, abusive imagery, comments, impersonation, people, copyrighted or trademarked material, advertising or links.
1.3 If you wish to have your media removed, please email socialmediaescalations@buyitdirect.co.uk. We reserve the right to remove any media from our social media pages, website or marketing materials at any time, for any reason.
1.4 Users of Buy It Direct’s sites can share any media displayed across its social media pages. Please note, while we can remove photos from any Buy It Direct website, we are unable to, nor are we responsible for, the removal of any photos shared or posted by third parties on third party sites outside of our control. To report a photo shared on a third-party website, please contact the third-party site directly.
1.5 All images shared via email are deemed to be approved for use on our website, social media pages or marketing communications. To request a removal, please email socialmediaescalations@buyitdirect.co.uk.
