Tamper-proof guest controls
Guests can only use the jets and lights. The main settings stay locked away, which prevents costly call-outs.
Rapid two-inch drainage
A two-inch drain valve empties the tub fast on changeover day. You can also add a fixed quick drain.
HSG282 compliant and built for heavy use
Designed to meet HSG282 guidance for commercial hot tubs, with headrests, diverters and waterfalls left out so there is less to break.

What the Hideaway needs from your site
A two metre square footprint that suits cottage gardens, lodges and holiday let terraces. Plan these before delivery day.
A strong, level base
A concrete pad, paving slabs or reinforced decking, able to carry the filled weight of 1,451 kg plus bathers.
Good drainage
You will be emptying it between guests, so choose a spot with good drainage that is not liable to flooding. Allow at least 50 cm on all sides for maintenance access.
A 32 amp supply
The Hideaway needs its own 32 amp supply, fitted by a qualified electrician with RCD protection and a 32 amp MCB. Have it ready before delivery day.

How we build it
Guest controls
Guests get jets and lights. You keep the settings.
The guest panel only turns the jets and lights on and off. The full Balboa control panel sits inside the cabinet, so temperature and filtration stay exactly as you set them.
A domestic hot tub
One panel controls everything.
Guests can change the temperature or filter settings by mistake, which can mean a call-out or a cold tub for the next booking.

Changeovers
A 2-inch drain valve empties it fast.
A wide 2-inch drain valve lets the water out quickly between guests. You can also add a fixed quick drain to make changeover day even easier.
A domestic hot tub
A standard drain takes hours.
A narrow drain can leave staff waiting around, which is hard to fit into a same-day changeover.

Fewer parts to break
No headrests, diverters or waterfalls to snap off.
The parts guests most often damage are left out of the design, so there is less to repair and fewer days out of action.

Loose headrests and adjustable fittings are easy to knock off or lose in a busy rental.

Heat retention
Insulated right where heat escapes.
Closed-cell foam sits directly under the shell, with a foil layer behind it, so warmth is held in the water and running costs stay low.
A domestic hot tub
Thin or patchy insulation lets heat escape.
If a listing doesn’t say what insulation is used or where it goes, you can’t tell how much the tub will cost to keep warm.
