Hot Tub Delivery and Installation Day: What to Expect
From the kerb
to a full tub.
Your hot tub arrives on a lorry and ends up filled, powered and ready in your garden. How much of that journey we do for you depends on the delivery option you choose. This guide follows the route, so you know what to have ready and what happens on the day.
Four ways to get your hot tub home
We offer four delivery options for hot tubs.1 The difference is how far along the route our team goes with you: from helping you load it onto your own vehicle, to filling it and showing you how everything works.
| Option | What you get |
|---|---|
| Click & collect Free |
Collect from Huddersfield or East Midlands; each product page shows which. We help you load it onto your vehicle. You move it into position and install it.1 |
| Kerbside delivery from £99 |
Delivered to the nearest accessible point by the road, by an 18+ tonne vehicle with a tail-lift. It needs flat, level hardstanding, so it is not suitable for gravel, slopes, uneven or soft ground, kerbs or steps. Extra Large hot tubs are excluded because they are too large for the tail-lift. AM or PM delivery is £60 extra and Saturday delivery is £99 extra.1 |
| Delivery & positioning from £299 |
Everything in kerbside delivery, plus a professional assessment of your site and positioning advice. Our trained team carries the hot tub to its final position on your property. Any crane or specialist lifting is an additional cost.1 |
| Delivery, installation, setup & guidance from £499 |
Everything above, plus we install the hot tub, set it up and fill it with water. You also get an introduction to its features, a chemical and maintenance introduction and a question and answer session. A valid electrical installation certificate is needed before we install.1 |
The full terms are on our delivery and returns page. If you are still choosing a retailer, where to buy a hot tub covers the questions to ask about delivery and installation.
Get the site ready
A little preparation makes the day smooth. Most of it is about the spot the hot tub will sit on and the supply that powers it. Check your own model’s manual too, as it lists what applies to your hot tub.2
| Check | What to have ready |
|---|---|
| A firm, level base | The ground needs to take the weight of the hot tub when it is filled, plus the weight of the people in it. A hot tub should not sit on curved, soft or sandy ground, or on blocks.2 Our guide to where to install a hot tub covers the choice of spot. |
| Good drainage | Choose a spot that drains well and is not liable to flooding. Water getting into the electrical compartment can damage the unit.2 |
| Space around it | Leave at least half a metre on all four sides, so the electrical compartment door can be reached easily and the cabinet vents stay clear. Keep the hot tub at least 2 metres from any electrical appliance, and away from trees if you can, because falling leaves can block the filter.2 |
| A clear route in | Measure the way from the kerb to the base: gates, side passages, steps and anything overhead. Tell us about narrow spaces when you order. Our delivery and positioning option is for properties with small spaces to navigate, and if a crane or other lift is needed we can coordinate with your contractor.1 |
| The electrical supply | A qualified electrician makes the connections. The hot tub needs a dedicated circuit protected by an RCD, with a disconnection switch you can reach after installation.2 If you choose our installation option, we need a valid electrical installation certificate first.1 See our electrical installation guide and 13 amp vs 32 amp hot tubs. |
| A water supply | You fill the hot tub from a suitable water supply, so have a tap within hose reach of the base.2 |
The day, stop by stop
Follow the dotted route from the kerb to a hot tub that is ready to use. Each stop says which delivery options go that far.
If you chose click and collect, the route starts at your own vehicle. After you order, we contact you to book your collection timeslot.1
-
Before the day: we check the details
Our team contacts you to confirm delivery details and, for positioning and installation, assesses your site so the delivery runs smoothly.1
In delivery and positioning, and in installation.
-
At your kerb: the hot tub arrives
Kerbside delivery comes by an 18+ tonne vehicle with a tail-lift, on weekdays between 9am and 5pm as standard; our driver unloads with the tail-lift and a pallet truck. Delivery and positioning arrives with our technicians on a 3.5 tonne vehicle with a trailer or flatbed.1
In kerbside delivery, delivery and positioning, and installation.
-
Along the route: into its final position
Our trained staff carry the hot tub to the position you have chosen, and we confirm the spot is suitable. Kerbside delivery ends at the road, so you would arrange the move from there.1
In delivery and positioning, and in installation.
-
On the base: installed, set up and filled
With the installation option, we install the hot tub, set up all its systems and fill it with water.1 Your electrician’s certificate is in place beforehand, as the electrical connections are theirs to make.2
In installation only.
-
Handover: you learn how it all works
We take you through every setting and function, give you a clear introduction to chemicals and maintenance, and answer your questions.1
In installation only.
Filling and first switch-on
If you choose installation, we do all of this for you. If you are installing it yourself, the manual sets out the order.
Before the water goes in
Tighten all the barrel unions on the pumps and heaters, because they can loosen in transit. Check that the valves and all the jets are open and that the drain valve is closed.2
Filling
Fill through the filter, which helps stop air blocking the pumps, and stop at the water line, which is the maximum level. Use water no hotter than 40°C, to protect the components.2
After the power goes on
The control panel runs through its power-up screens and then goes into priming mode.2 Keep the cover on whenever the hot tub is not in use: the manual warns that direct sun on an uncovered shell can damage it.2

Quick answers
Open a question to read the answer.
What delivery options do you offer for a hot tub?
We offer four: free click and collect, kerbside delivery from £99, delivery and positioning from £299, and delivery, installation, setup and guidance from £499.
What is the difference between kerbside delivery and positioning?
Kerbside delivery brings the hot tub to the nearest accessible point by the road, and you move it from there. With delivery and positioning, our trained team carries it to its final position on your property and confirms the position is suitable.
Do I need an electrician before installation day?
Yes. A qualified electrician makes the electrical connections, on a dedicated circuit protected by an RCD. If you choose our installation option, we need a valid electrical installation certificate before we install.
Does the installation option include filling the hot tub?
Yes. We install the hot tub, set it up and fill it with water. You also get an introduction to its features, a chemical and maintenance introduction and a question and answer session.
Will a crane be needed to deliver my hot tub?
Only when the site needs one. A crane or other specialist lifting is an additional cost, and if a lift is required we can coordinate with your contractor.
How much space do I need around a hot tub?
Leave at least half a metre on all four sides, so the electrical compartment door can be reached easily and the vents stay clear.
