Hot tub sensors guide
Hot tubs use a temperature sensor to read the water and a high limit sensor to stop it overheating. If either fails, the heater stops and the panel shows an error. Match the sensor to your range and year.
A failed sensor usually shows as a sensor or high limit error on the panel, a temperature reading that jumps about, or a tub that stops heating. An engineer can test the sensor. Our sensors list the ranges and years they fit.

It is a safety sensor that turns the heater off if the water or the heater gets too hot. If it trips, the panel shows a high limit or overheat error.
The temperature sensor reads the water so the tub can hold the temperature you set. The high limit sensor is a backup that stops the heater if something goes wrong.
Low flow from a dirty filter is a common cause, as the water around the heater gets too hot. A failed sensor or a heater fault can also cause it. Clean the filter, then have the sensor tested if it keeps happening.
Turn the power off at the isolator before you touch anything. Sensors plug into the control board and sit in the plumbing, so a hot tub engineer should test and fit them.
